Helping Hands for Education (HHE) currently has several ongoing projects:
Collecting books
We are in contact with schools and publishers to invite donations of school textbooks and library books to stock the Educational Resource Centre in Ogbomosho which we are planning to build
Collecting science & IT equipment
We are also seeking donations of science and IT computer equipment to equip specialist laboratories and classrooms within the Centre
Building an Educational Resource Centre
We are actively fundraising to build the Educational Resource Centre. In addition to our fundraising events, we are inviting donations from individuals and businesses to support our projects. Read more about this project here
Latest updates
Since May 2021, we have shipped a 20-foot container of 65,000+ books to Ogbomosho where they are in temporary storage pending sorting and cataloguing. Donated science equipment, including microscopes, are already in use by some schools
